THE NOOK ON ROBINSON

The Nook on Robinson is a DIY bar & venue in Orlando’s Milk District. We specialize in Florida-made beverages and host local art experiences. This little craft beer bar is a 50/50 collaboration between me (Mary McGinn) and my business partner, Matt Duke. We first met while working on Artborne Magazine nearly a decade ago. I wrote the literature column, he was Creative Director. The Nook on Robinson celebrated seven years in 2024.

DEAD BEAT BOOKS

Dead Beat Books was once a used bookstore in a local co-op. The project was put to bed in 2018, weeks before the genesis of my next venture, The Nook on Robinson. I’ve recently decided to resurrect Dead Beat Books in a new way, as a book club focused on civically important works. New website, Discord, and Patreon dropping soon.
